A Slow Midwinter

A Slow Midwinter

from 275.00

Friday 25th - Sunday 27th January (2 nights)

Our first gathering of 2019 will take place in Lincolnshire at The Old Rectory.  With spacious rooms and an open fire, it's the perfect location for a winter retreat. Join us for a weekend of seasonal activities, feasts and connection. Included will be:

  • Two nights' accommodation.

  • All meals, drinks and activities.

  • A journal creating workshop: design and make a journal for spring that you'll want to use every day. We'll use handmade paper and you'll be able to customise and add as many sections as you like. We'll use a simple design that you can replicate at home with each new season.

  • A writing the seasons workshop: free writing, a sensory walk, and writing as a form of meditation, all inspired by the natural world. No previous writing experience necessary.

  • A collaborative nature-zine workshop: join together with other attendees to create a zine (or 'mini-magazine') inspired by the natural world. You'll receive a copy of the zine in the post after the retreat.

  • Imbolc reflections and rituals.

Although this retreat follows a similar format to our previous events, the workshops will be themed around slow creativity, being mindful, and inner reflections; perfect for a conscious start to the year.

The nearest train station is located approximately 15 minutes away in Skegness. Please contact us after booking your ticket if you are interested in sharing a taxi from the train station.
