A self-paced course Combining nature and mindfulness to help you rewild your writing and root to the earth.
We are all writers; we all have a story to tell.
Sometimes our stories get lost in a sea of voices, should-dos and demands of life and work. Sometimes we don’t want to call ourselves a ‘writer’ because it doesn’t feel justified. Somehow, somewhere, we’ve forgotten the power that putting pen to paper can really have.
This course is for soulful, purposeful and nature-inspired writers who want to find their story. It’s here to guide you back to what intrinsically you know; that your words have meaning, and deserve to be written.
Language has the power to enfold us and help us to feel safe, loved, and worthwhile. It has the capacity to change our thought patterns, challenge our beliefs and guide us to make a difference. More than anything, it has the ability to connect us with like-minded souls, with the world around us, and with ourselves. Connection is at the root of everything I’ve worked on over the past few years, and I truly believe in its potential.
If you’re ready to write your own story, this self-guided course is here to offer guidance to help you grow and flourish as a writer.
Whether you yearn to write for yourself, want to develop a nature-inspired writing habit, or are ready to share your stories with the world, it’s time to connect your soul and wild heart with your words. Let me show you the way.
Course content
The course is made up of 3 modules, each containing a combination of written content, journal prompts for creative wellbeing, and exercises designed to kick-start your writing and inspire new words and ideas. The modules are as follows:
Creating Space
This first module asks the question: what is space? We’ll explore how you can create physical and mental space for your words, and consider your writing journey so far. I’ll encourage you to be playful with space through journal prompts, a free-writing exercise, and tasks that will take you out of your comfort zone.Stepping Into Your Voice
The second module explores your voice and how your writing is expressed and perceived. We’ll consider why writing and personality are so intertwined, and you’ll move forward on your journey to increased self-awareness. I’ll encourage you to be precise, and consider different meanings of ‘voice’, including visual representations.Journeys Into Place
The final module draws our journey to a close. We’ll embark on a modern pilgrimage and consider your progress to date. I’ll encourage you to consider your own relationship to place, and how landscape has the power to inspire your words. We’ll close the course with a project for you to spend a little more time on, exploring maps and milestones in relation to words and your personal experiences.
As part of the course you will also receive:
A printed workbook (60+ pages) containing all the module content.
3 guided writing walks (audio recording, approx. 25 minutes each) designed to align with each of the modules.
Please note, this course is not suitable if you were previously a part of the Wildhearted Words membership, as some of the content is duplicated.

FAQ
What are the benefits of the course for me and my writing?
Root & Rewild is a journey to a deeper understanding of yourself as a writer. It doesn’t provide technical advice, but approaches writing with wellbeing in mind, helping you to believe in the power of your words, and understand how they can be rooted to your true self, and to the natural world.
When does the course start?
There is no official start date as the course is self-guided, however you will receive all the course material week in the post after you have signed up.
How much time will I need to spend on the course?
There’s no recommended minimum or maximum time commitment, as everyone will engage with the materials at different depths and speeds. You could spend a whole day completing the printed workbook in one go, or you could dip in and out of the content over a couple of weeks or months.
Is the course similar to the Wildhearted Words membership you previously offered?
Yes! Much of the course content is taken from the monthly membership packs. If you were previously a member of Wildhearted Words, I would not recommend signing up for the course as you will already have worked through the content.
