intrinsic

An anthology of 12 deep-rooted connections with the more-than-human world

Publication date: June 2022

Availability: not currently in print

Intrinsic is an anthology of previously unpublished writing that explores the unique connections between humans and the more-than-human world. Topics include: nature as an antagonist; abscission and loss; healing and self-compassion; protection and ethical custodianship; reverberating rhythms; trees in the city; and more. The pieces weave story, history, folklore, myth and science to create personal, passionate responses that are unapologetically led by the true voices of their authors.

Dominant narratives are questioned. Relationships are exposed. This is not your typical collection of nature writing.
